Gauteng Sponsors F1 Team
 The Gauteng province will be one of the sponsors of the BMW Sauber F1 Team for the 2009 season. The GO-GP.ORG logo will travel with the team around the world as an invitation to Gauteng.
GO-GP.ORG lettering will be visible on the front wing endplates and nose section of the F1.09, as well as on the drivers’ helmets and overalls, team clothing, pit equipment and team trucks.
There are plans to hold demonstration runs with a BMW Sauber F1 Team car and the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers in Gauteng over the course of this year.

BenchMark Commission Project launches
The Sandton Central Management District (SCMD) has launched their latest project, the Benchmark Commission with the unveiling of two of the specially designed benches.
Benches will be placed throughout Sandton Central as part of their Arts Programme.
The first bench, which was sponsored by the SCMD, was created by industrial designer Gregor Jenkins and is situated on the corner of West Street and Grayston Drive. The second bench was designed by Shepard Nduduzo and is sponsored by Bowman Gillfillan.
“My inspiration comes from everyday people and their daily rituals, and my sculptures usually revolve around body shapes that are elongated or stretched, which I incorporated into my design,” Nduduzo said. His bench is situated on the corner of West Street and Fredman Drive.
