Morningside Soon to Open its Doors:
 Barely recovering from the retail injection provided by the new section of Melrose Arch, Sandtonista’s hard-core shoppers will swoon with the opening of the R300-million redevelopment of the Morningside Shopping Centre next month.
The centre, which will be five times the size of its previous incarnation, will include around 80 A-list tenants including the first Jo’burg branch of Cape Town’s Extreme Eyewear (being opened by Sandton’s favourite identical twins, ‘double vision’ optometrists, Delia and Lara Abrahamson); Bonaparte Flannerie pâtisserie and chocolaterie; a new-generation 1 950m2 Pick n Pay based on the concept of bespoke shopping; and a new ‘signature’ tashas.
The Morningside Pharmacy will also be relocating from The Wedge to the new centre.
